WATER DEMAND AND WATER USE EFFICIENCY IN ‘PALMER’ MANGO CULTIVATION IN THE LOW-MIDDLE SÃO FRANCISCO VALLEY

The study aimed to determine the evapotranspiration (ETc) of mango cv. ‘Palmer’ over two productive cycles, analyzing water-use efficiency (WUE) and crop water productivity (CWP) propose average coefficient (Kc) values for improving irrigation management under cultivation conditions in Low-Middle São Francisco Valley. was conducted from July 2019 May 2021 a commercial orchard Petrolina, State Pernambuco, Brazil. Micrometeorological data collected throughout experimental period. determined using Bowen ratio energy balance (BREB), then Kc, WUE, CWP were determined. highest ETc occurred during floral induction phase (5.14 ± 0.85 mm day-1), with Kc 0.85; however, lowest observed fruit maturation (3.60 0.73 0.91. Average consumption per cycle 1445 mm, daily 4.39 day-1.
